WOW. Geometric Kite Is a Lightweight Flying Sculpture
The most brilliant kite design by artists, Heather and Ivan Morison in collaboration with London architectural designer Sash Reading and Birmingham fabrication design studio, Queen and Crawford. The handmade sculpture features over 23,000 individual components.
The astonishingly, lightweight geometric kite is comprised of carbon-fiber rods, specially designed 3D-printed connectors, and a handmade composite fabric typically used for yacht sails.
Bianca Chang is an amazing paper artist.
Inspired by the subtlety of tone on tone signage and the shadow-play of 3 dimensional letterforms. Recreating this effect with paper - a material so beautifully tactile and simple yet often mindlessly discarded.
The time invested in each piece gives a sense of permanence to the material. The works are created by hand-plotting and cutting multiple sheets of 80gsm 100% post consumer waste recycled paper - minimizing the impact of paper consumption and consciously transforming a typically disposable medium into a long term piece of art.

Gare Saint Sauveur in Lille.
Gare Saint Sauveur in Lille is such a perfect place. I visited last weekend, saw the exhitions Paranoia and Hotel Europe and ate at Bistro St SO. Paranoia was amazing.
The exhibition offers a panorama of installations borrowed from the repertoire of science fiction: visual and sound installations, machines, 3D videos, robots, video games and more.
By combining scientific research and contemporary artistic creation, some works have developed a “paranoid” vision of the contemporary world that both reflects its evolution and the society envisioned by the “Cyber Punks”, of which William Gibson is the precursor.
This exhibition will present us with an imaginary, funny and frightening vision of a futuristic society perpetually questioning itself. Through new technologies, French, German, American, Belgian, Canadian, or even Dutch artists will invite you to enter into dialogue with machines, through works that will appeal to all the senses.

Alex McLeod constructs hyperrealistic 3D environments filled with crystalline mountains, fiery lakes, and rotund clouds. All rendered in a sickly sweet and gooey candy-colored palette.
